I have a new Kubota BX2230. I have 17 hours on it now. I have mowed with it about six times this season.

The last couple of times I mowed I cannot raise the mowing deck after 15 - 20 minutes of use it will not raise up. After I mow and it cools off it works fine. This was not a problem the first time or two of use.

Today I mowed, made a round, checked it by raising worked OK, made another round it was slow to raise. Finally it would not raise again after about 15 minutes of use.

Anyone had this problem? Can I fix it or is it dealer Time?

Thanks,
Len

Definitely dealer time. We could give a list of things to check, but for a tractor with 17 hours on it, you need to cash in on that good dealer service. If you try to solve it yourself, you may do something that would interfere with the warranty. ....

It would be interesting to learn, and perhaps you should ask, what type of HST fluid they installed on your tractor. ....

Definitely dealer time to document the problem. The oil may get hot and frothy as well. For after warranty the problem sounds like a suction line obstruction or break. A clogged filter or screen can do it and one might be clogged from poor clean up of parts during assembly. People have reported screens that contained a lot of junk at initial 50-hour servicing.

Why I said document the problem because the condition that may be present can damage the hydraulic pump if the tractor is operated for prolonged periods. I wouldn't start it to find out if the oil gets hot. ....

Got my BX2230 back from the shop today. Gone for 10 days!!

The hydraulic problem seems to be fixed.

The dealer replaced a valve (plastic part) in the hydraulic valve for the hydraulic pump.

Worked great today when I mowed - deck/and lift works much faster now!

Stay tuned! ....
